WATERFALLS & ZIPLINES
Start your first morning with an epic buffet breakfast filled with locally grown organic fruits and veggies and made-to-order omelets. Don’t forget to try the gallo pinto, a traditional breakfast dish of rice and beans. It goes great with eggs!
We start today with your choice between a mellow mountain bike ride or rainforest hike. This first adventure is about a 1-1.5 hour climb, to provide everyone the chance to acclimate to the tropical climate. Bring lots of water and electrolyte replacements as you’ll definitely break a sweat in the rainforest!
At the top, both hikers and bikers will meet up to swim at the base of a gorgeous waterfall, and take in all of our surroundings. After our swim, enjoy a fun flowy downhill (or casual hike) back to the hotel then head to the restaurant for lunch. The afternoon will be spent on an exciting zipline adventure through the canopy of the rainforest and through a deep canyon.
-
RAINFOREST ADVENTURES & POOLSIDE COCKTAILS
Gear up for an exciting day in the rainforest! We’ll start today with an early breakfast and then split up into groups to go for a hike or mountain bike ride. Both adventures will be half day in duration, and will take you to mountain views and waterfalls to swim in.
After lunch, we'll get together for an afternoon of river tubing. Grab your gal pals and get ready for an exciting adventure floating through fun class I-II rapids in the heart of the jungle.
We will top off this incredible day with volcanic mud masks and soaking in the healing waters of natural volcanic hot springs. A true slice of paradise!

TRAVEL TO THE COAST
Today you have your choice of a quick morning adventure before check out, or having a relaxing morning to yourself. After your late morning, load up and travel to the Pacific Coast.

As the sun sets over the coastline, we’ll take pictures, let it all sink in and then head to our hotel to get settled for the evening. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner on the coast. Fresh fish anyone?

AIRPORT SHUTTLES & TRAVEL HOME
We have reached the last day of our amazing trip in Costa Rica and it's time to say goodbye. There will be an optional morning yoga class offered today for those who would like to get in one last stretching session before travel. After yoga, there will be time for a quick breakfast and then we’ll pack up for our group shuttle to return to the Liberia International Airport.
Our guides and drivers will have the group at the airport for a 12:00pm check in. This trip is for any woman looking to experience all the best that Costa Rica has to offer.
Each day, we will offer a selection of adventures including hiking, mountain biking, ziplining, river tubing, surfing and SUPing. The mountain biking will take place on intermediate level trails.
This is one of our favorite areas to play in Costa Rica and is truly a perfect vacation getaway for the ladies!
-
Absolutely! Each day where we offer a mountain bike ride, we will also offer a hiking option. This trip is set up to be enjoyed by all!
-
The short answer is, yes! This trip is for anyone who enjoys hiking and mountain biking and playing outdoors.
General Fitness Level Guide: You exercise at least 2-3 times per week all year long for 1-2 hours each session. You are comfortable biking or hiking for 3-4 hours at a moderate pace. You can comfortably exercise for 3-4 days back-to-back with climbing of up to 1000ft per day.
For the hikers, there are no specific skill requirements, but you should be fit enough to enjoy a 3-4 hour hike.
For the mountain bikers, the minimum skill level needed is intermediate.
The following outlines the minimum skill level and fitness base required for the mountain bike rides on this trip.
MTB Skill Level - Intermediate (Blue Trails): You have a strong understanding of shifting up and down through the gears. You have the skills to brake appropriately on descents and you maintain a comfortable and sturdy stance on controlled climbs and descents. You are confident to ride through a variety of technical features (roots, rocks, tight turns) although you are most comfortable at a slow and controlled pace.
-
In general, you can expect hot sunny days in Costa Rica. Typical year round temperatures range from 80-90F (26-32C) during the day and only dropping a few degrees in the evenings. You will need very light, quick drying athletic clothes for each day. We recommend all participants should be prepared to carry 1-2L of water on them each day.
Refer to the suggested packing list for detailed information on what to bring. You will also be able to leave items in our van each day so you can have back up supplies if needed throughout the day.
-
If you plan to mountain bike with us, then you have the choice between bringing your own bike or renting from us. If you choose to rent in country, then you can rent a bike for the full week to ride each day it is offered, or you can rent for half of the trip, if you only wish to ride 1 or 2 times.
-
Absolutely! Our guides will be there to help you build your bike at the start of the trip and pack it up at the end. We will have tools available and we’re very experienced in assembling and packing bikes. We’ll gladly give you tips and help you out during the entire process.

Our crew will have some snacks available, however, it is up to each participant to provide their own personal snacks and electrolyte replacement tabs and/or chews for our adventures. There are stores in Costa Rica where these can be purchased, however, it is recommended that you bring a supply of your favorite items from home as the selection in Costa Rica can be limited.
-

All of our trips can cater to most dietary needs, however, make sure you tell us in advance so our team can be properly prepared. After you book your spot, we will ask you to complete your profile to notify us of any dietary needs or allergies.
Once you’re in Costa Rica, there are a variety of food options available at all restaurants to cater to most diets. The typical plate in Costa Rica is called a Casado and is a plate with rice, beans, salad and a protein (beef, chicken, fish, or fresh cheese for vegetarians). Whole foods, fresh meats, fruits and vegetables are easy to come by everywhere you go. When eating at restaurants, our group will always choose venues that are happy to cater to a variety of dietary needs. -
Note that trip insurance is required for all participants on any Ride the Earth tour. You must provide proof of policy prior to departure. We recommend World Nomads to provide you with affordable trip insurance. They offer excellent coverage for adventure activities.
-
Although tipping is completely up to your discretion, it is customary to provide gratuity for guides and drivers. A typical gratuity for your expert guides is 5-10% of your trip cost per person and 2-5% for drivers. This may be given to the lead guide on your trip or to each person individually.
